I vowed to keep personal opinion/thoughts out of this blog and keep it professional.

HOWEVER - I must say this -

A couple of years ago, a close friend of mine - from Beatlefest - passed away - "Alex" Alexander. It was devastating to hear at that time. As the Fest approaches each year, I remember Alex - and what a fun person he was. Someone who never thought badly of anybody - ever. Someone who always saw the positive in everything - and someone who lived life - LIVED LIFE. I'm sure it's hard on his family and people who were closer to him than I was - but we all know he loved every single minute of his life. I know someday, we'll meet up again in Heaven. But until then, every Fest, there is a slight note of sadness for me.
My point? I miss my friends who have passed. But more importantly - my point is - ENJOY your family and friends while they are here. NEVER take a moment or friend for granted. Every moment, every friend, every family member is precious - and don't waste time - enjoy being around them.
This not meant as a sad post - part of who I am is because of Alex - and I am proud to say he influenced my life!

  1. I think this post is appropriate. Not only because of your friend but it shows how personal you are about what you do in the local music industry. The people you support become your friends and you care for their well being and success. It does not go unnoticed. I also feel this post is probably reaching people like myself who have lost someone special. My Mom passed when I was 10 (I am now 33) and today would have been her birthday. So to me it was nice to read that others appreciate their loved ones and realize what it is to have had and have lost. We are not alone and we should embrace the ones we still have with us.
