A sad day in WWE History - "Rowdy" Roddy Piper passes away

BY FAR THE BEST HEEL in WWE History! He didn't need to swear, he didn't need to flip people off, he didn't need to wish cancer on the audience, but he was the greatest heel of WWE history - he did it with the mic, with story-telling, with storyline, by being a "cerebral villain", and he did it by in-ring (an out of ring) cheating. He was actually a villain that fans kind of actually liked.

He created the cutting-edge "Piper's Pit" a formula that has been imitated but never duplicated. He ushered in the era of the on-mic heel and the vignettes. 

Plus he did great movies like They Live and Hell Comes To Frogtown (ok, maybe they weren't "great").

Anyhow, sad news in the world of wrestling today.
